Fascinating Fungi June July 2019 - all  completed now

A series of textile workshops looking at the fascinating world of fungi.

1- Introduction to Fabulous fungi
8th June, 10am- 1pm.  Using recycled/reclaimed materials explore the intricate underground world of Fungi through a simple but effective stitch technique.  All materials provided and no experience is necessary
2 - Stitch n rust
23rd June. 10-3pm.  Using fabric manipulation techniques we will be making samples based on the intricate gills on fungi.  Then we will be rusting the samples to create fabulous natural patterns replicating decay processes in nature.  All materials and full instructions provided.
3- Mark making into stitch.
7th July 10-3pm.  Using photographs of different fungi we will be exploring how we can make marks to replicate the intricate patterns on fungi. Then we will look at translating this into a stitched piece using fabric and thread. All materials and full instructions provided.
